Iron Man takes on one of his former employees although the significance of this issue is the debut of both Stark’s assistant Pepper Potts and his chauffer and former boxer Happy Hogan. Happy saves Stark in a race car crash and that starts an interesting love triangle between Hogan, Potts and Stark. Potts wants Stark and Happy wants Potts.
Later, one of Stark’s most trusted scientists is caught stealing secrets and Iron Man tags him. Stark makes the mistake of giving the professor a second chance by letting him go and he takes his ideas and turns himself into Jack Frost. Iron Man takes care of Frost with a heat ray and saves both Potts and Happy in the process.
