This is the first time Iron Man is turned into a Cold War hero as he takes on a top red general in the Red Barbarian. He’s a brutal spy chief without any specific super powers and his latest agent is a person who calls himself the Actor. The Actor can basically alter his appearance to look like anyone and the Red Barbarian gives him the mission of infiltrating one of Stark’s labs. The Actor not only gets in, but he also finds Stark’s Iron Man suit and deduces that Stark is Iron Man.
Stark catches wind of the Actor’s theft and attaches himself to a rocket in order to beat the Actor to the Red Barbarian. Stark captures the Actor then pays the Red Barbarian a visit to pull a bit of a double switch as he makes himself appear to be the Actor in disguise. Then after Stark lets him go, the Actor pays the Red Barbarian a visit and gets shot for his troubles.
